Born in Bulgaria in 1938. Immigrated to Israel in 1948. Studied at Margoshilsky Higher School of Painting, Tel Aviv 1964 - 1968, and stage design with Arthur Goldreich in 1970. Studied at the Fachhochschule fuer Goldschmiedearbeiten und Schmuckdesign, Schwaebisch Gmuend, Germany, 1975, Works in painting, jewelry design in gold, silver, wood and industrial materials. Exhibited one person shows in Artists' House, Ein Hod 1983, 1985, and Designed Sets for plays at the Reut School of arts, Haifa 1993-94.
1998 Jacov suffered from encephalitis which left him paralyzed on his right side and aphasic (the inability to speak and write).

He died at home in the summer of 2004.
